NOLA Braces for Serious Partying
Jan 6th, 2008 by Nola
Wanna know how to piss off a huge group of people here in NOLA? Dress your daughter like this the day before the LSU/OSU BCS Championship game:

Yes, that is an Ohio State cheerleader outfit. Sun got it from her Nonna (my MIL) for Christmas. Today and tomorrow are the only days this outfit can get any play. It seems the least I can do to apologize for this post.
Oh, the looks we got today! Thankfully, most folks assumed we were out-of-towners and treated us just fine.
MORE IMPORTANTLY, tonight is Twelfth Night, the official start of Mardi Gras. Let the party (and eating of king cake) begin! See you at the parades!
Stumble it!

12th night! I knew I needed an excuse to buy that King Cake tomorrow for my OSU fan friends coming to stay at my house for the game! Be kind to them as they tailgate at the game.
Sun is gorgeous!
What a precious picture!!
We will have to get together and let the little ones have a cheer-off if I can convince Lucy to get back into the polyester, LSU uniform.
She looks cute in that outfit. I’m sure nobody will get pissed off by such a cutie!
Awwwww….She is so adorable, what a smile on her! And I I love the outfit!!
What a doll!
Little Miss Sun is a cutie pie no matter what she wears. Such a happy, smiling gal!
Woo Hoo! Go Buckeyes!
Sooooo pretty! Even though she is wearing Ohio attire. HAHA
We saw the beginning (or was it the end?) of the Phunny Phorty Phellows at the end of the streetcar line next to City Park yesterday evening on the way back from the Quarters. That’s a Twelfth Night comment; we have none for the photo of this adorable child dressed so horribly by her anarchist, bomb-throwing parents.
Who’s cheering now, kid? IN YOUR FACE, SUN!
Yes, I know it’s not nice to taunt 6-month old children, but she’s the only Buckeye around.
Too shame, Pete, too shame.
I love it!! you must have looked like tourists!! in nashville my dad decided to cheer against SEC (Georgia) and was cheering for Hawaii. sometimes you just have to stand out….
hope it’s a great mardi gras season!!
What a cute, cute, cute KID! She’d only be cuter if she was wearing an Illini cheerleader outfit (even though they sucked in the Rose Bowl…)
