wow Nola, my sympathies. I know a very small amount of what you describe because coincidentally enough, I had a "surprise" first ever gall bladder ER adventure myself on Sunday. Like I said, just a wee bit compared to you- I have the luxury of scheduling my surgery sometime this month, but oy, the pain, huh? Who knew gall stones could hurt that much? and nausea and back pain and , well, ugh. Best to you, and oh yeah, welcome to Texas! You are the third person in the past two months that I “know” who has had their gallbladder out- my cousin (female, age 22) and my grandmother (female, age 75). BISMOW’s grandmother (age 80) is also having gallbladder issues. And I have now learned that shoulder pain is the key indication of gallstones, gall attack, when accompanied by vomiting.

I hope you are feeling better soon! And unlike my Grandmother, I would suggest keeping your stomach staples to yourself (or at least ASK if people want to see them…oh Grandma……)
