Priorities

Even as gas prices climb, we New Orleanians know what’s really important:

For a more interesting uniquely New Orleans story, click here to read Pete’s post about King Gambrinus reigning atop Falstaff Brewery.
Stumble it!

That’s great.
And I thought gas was expensive in STL… Mm, a po-boy sure sounds good. I’m going to make that image my background.
What if I ate a Poboy AND a sub? Lent is almost over, can you tell? I’m going to inhale Easter dinner.
Only in NOLA!!
That’s as it should be … priorities.
I love that sign. As my duty I don’t eat subs. Hubby has done more than his fair share of duty until he got a talkin to by his doctor. He is on the subs, since they don’t seem to be dripping with fried seafood and hot sauce.
Mmmm, I’d take a po’boy over a sub any day of the week. No need to shout it over the billboards. Your blog’s making me hungry
LOL–Love this!
I’m a local gal with New Orleans roots and have never heard about King Gambrinus or the Falstaff lights. I grew up close to Audubon Park and never got to that side a town. Loved the story. Must have had my head in the sand but I’m learning so much history on this town from you - you should teach a course in the schools.
LOL! That is great
Keeping it real!
mmmm! And I say that having only eaten fake po boys from out here in CA. I can’t even fathom what an authentic one must be like!! And I’m also jealous of how cheap your gas is!!!! We’re close to $4 a gallon out here!
