I'm not a midwesterner (Surrey, BC), but I'd be happy to take 52 Fridays off your hands. My wife's been looking for that cookbook for ages.

Oh, Maria, you are out of luck with NOLA cooking. It's mostly seafood and pork sausage in something!

I'm blog hopping early because there are so many of us that I can't get to them all!--HP

I'm slightly obsessed with New Olreans books and cookbooks. I actually love cookbooks and waste a lot of money on them...the only ones I REALLY use are New Orleans ones. I have a copy of River Road Recipes that must be close to 1,000 years old (give or take a year or two!).

One of my favorite cookbooks, a compilation of the best recipes from all of the NOLA gems is by Fitzmorris. And Galatoires is my all time favorite restaurant in the world.... crabmeat sardou is heaven on a plate.

Would it be ok if I linked to your blog from mine?

3. I am a midwesterner, but I don't want that book. Lent is against my religion. ;-)

4. Does Fitzmorris talk about The Pizza Man in Covington? OR doesn't he cross the lake in that one? According to The Pizza Man menu "The Board" pizza was voted #1 spinach dish in New Orleans.

Come to the dark side sometime and we will do Pizza Man. Only open for dinner.
