Oh, the Things I’ve Heard
Nov 4th, 2007 by Nola
Things I’ve recently heard:
1. In a Chinese restaurant, “I can’t eat anything green. That’s what my doctor tells me: nothing green. Do y’all want a couple of orders of eggrolls?” “Don’t they have green in them?” “That green is okay.” Apparently deep fried green is not real green.
2. In the French Quarter, a mother to her young daughter, “Honey, stop rubbing yourself on that pole!” That’s right, lady, keep your daughter off the pole. Chris Rock would be proud.
3. Also in the French Quarter, to the hubs about Sun’s hemangioma, “Is that a birthmark or a tattoo?” Tattoo, lady, on a five-month old. Yeaaahh.
Stumble it!

Haha, oh the things other ppl will say…I mean, not that I will purposely eavesdrop, but sometimes you just overhear things that are impossible to miss!
Oh it seems that NOLA notes doesn’t eavesdrop, but tells things that are said right in front of her. Although, I must say some people were warned that it could end up on her blog.
I think most of it is lost in the translation. And I think we were in better form on Saturday.
