Are You Up for a Cookie Exchange?
Nov 2nd, 2007 by Nola
Although I am attempting to lose weight, my recent post about making gumbo has sparked an offer of a cookie exchange. Now, I am not sure how a real cookie exchange works, but here’s what I propose for my cookie exchange (and since this is my blog, that seems reasonable, doesn’t it?):
1. If you have friends that are bakers (amateur or otherwise) or who like cookies or who like hanging out together at each others’ houses, get together with a few at each others’ houses over the next few weeks and BAKE UP SOME COOKIES!
2. If you don’t have friends who would like to join you in person, bake online! Or rather, bake at home and post about it so you aren’t alone.
Either way,
3. Take pics of your adventures in the kitchen, and post them (especially pics of the cookies!) along with the recipe.
4. Give us your handy tips and helpful ideas. Family recipes, favorite recipes, new recipes. The more, the better.
Maybe we can all find ourselves giving baked goods to our extended family members this year for the holidays!
So what do you say? Are you in? If so, leave a comment so we know where to come find good recipes.
Stumble it!

This makes me wish I knew how to bake something better than slice-and-bake cookies.
Thinker, I am no better at baking than you! That’s why I am enlisting the help of others!!
Humm..this sounds interesting. For the past two years Paul and I have given baked goodies packaged up all pretty and stuff for the holidays. I am sure you can count me in on baking and sharing.
Great idea, NOLA!
Yumy. I’m in.
I am always down for a recipe exchange! If you search on Recipe Club on my blog you’ll find tons of recipes (mostly vegetarian). You’ll find cooky recipes here:

And a quote from Homer Simpson:
“Dear Lord: The gods have been good to me. For the first time in my life, everything is absolutely perfect just the way it is. So here’s the deal: You freeze everything the way it is, and I won’t ask for anything more. If that is OK, please give me absolutely no sign. OK, deal. In gratitude, I present you this offering of cookies and milk. If you want me to eat them for you, give me no sign. Thy will be done.”
I’m in! But you’ll have to give me a few days to get my stuff together.
Does it have to be only cookies? I’ve had a mean craving for pumpkin bread and was thinking about making some, maybe I’ll get that together later today!
Fun idea, I LOVE to bake, but never have the time anymore.
