Age is Relative

I am 37. I don’t usually feel 37 (although sometimes I feel 67); rather, I usually feel 27.
I remember being around six years old, putting my mother at 35 years old, and being in my mother’s room watching her put make-up on one morning. “Mom,” I asked, “do you have false teeth?” “No, honey,” she responded, “Why do you ask?” “Because,” I answered, “I thought all old people had false teeth.”
I shudder to think what Sun will think of her old mom when she is six and what questions she will ask of me.
Did you graduate from high school in ’88? Me too!!
I agree about age. I feel like a teenager trapped in an adults body. I’m still not sure who decided I was responsible enough to procreate.
I too feel like I’m still 17 inside. I remember going to Disney World when I was preganant with Owl, and waiting on line noticing the families. I thought about my first trip to the park when I was in third grade, and realized that my “old” mother I remember from that trip was actually younger than I was then. I can’t beleive how young she was with three kids and being so responsible and mature!
I am 28 although I don’t look or feel 28, most days:), but I remember when I was a teenager and talking to my mom and her peers and saying something like anyone older than 19 was old:) Now, I’m the old one!!! I think it’s like my mom said: we’re as old as we feel. She’s in her late 50′s and damn if she doesn’t have more energy than me:)
