I do expect to bring Sun out to restaurants with us once she’s here. But let’s face it–it won’t be to some of the finer establishments we enjoy.

My bigger problem right now is that I seem to have no will power to not over eat when I go to a restaurant. Thus, it’s much better if I can eat at home. I mean, I don’t want to deliver a 10-lb baby!!

And yes, Pete, I DID see the chicken feet on the menu but did not order them. They even had a picture of them! We wondered how many came in an order for just $3.99. Some relatives of Harry Lee owns it.

Royal China. That’s the name of that place I couldn’t remember over by Dorignac’s? Did you get the chicken feet?

My old landlady on Dumaine St. used to go there. Once she said she saw Harry Lee and family there.

No, no, don’t cave in. Try bringing young Sun to restaurants! You may discover it is the worst idea since re-electing Nagin, but you may get lucky like we did and have a little gourmand who can order for himself as soon as he can talk. It is amazing how many restaurants are so glad to have your business they let you bring baby and toddler food with you. A ziplock of Cheerios goes a long way.

If you can do it (i.e., if she lets you), it’s great.

Reading this made me pine for NOLA all the more.

Oh, you were so busy you had to leave abruptly. HUH?

Just look at it this way, you are preparing yourself for when you cant go to a restaurant when the wee little one comes. Kinda like they say you are preparing yourself when you cant sleep in the last stretch of pregnancy.
